Togo

togoflagFrom September 1997 to December 2008 the Koonce family lived and worked among the Watchi people of Southern Togo. During the 14 years of work by the Tabligbo team over 40 churches were planted. The ultimate dream of the team was to mentor churches that would be dependent on God for their sustenance and would participate with Him in spreading the kingdom further.

Marty and teammate Murphy Crowson have been able to return each November to encourage the Watchi Christians. Each time, they have come back with stories of courage, hope and productivity.

It is our hope that God will provide for our entire family to visit Togo in August of 2011. We feel it is an important journey for us to make as a family; to encourage the churches, to remind our friends there that we have not forgotten them, and to allow our children to see the only place they know as ‘home’.
